Mel Green April's feature performer, Mel Green, is a veteran singer-songwriter, originally from South Africa, who has been making quality music since the mid-1960s. In those early days he was very much a part of the folk boom. He is a talented finger-pickin’ guitarist and thoughtful songwriter possessing a heartfelt tenor voice. Mel’s most recent CD, “I’m Taking My Time”, has had national airplay on radio stations in the US, Europe, and Australia.A miniset will be performed by Joe Burns, co-host of the Jam’n Java Open Mic. Joe has been performing since high school days when his rock group won a battle of the bands competition catapulting them into the local spotlight.
